A LOVE STORY WOVEN THROUGH THE SEASON OF SINGLENESS

TALIA SANHEWE

A NOTE FROM LAUREN

Thirty-five year old dynamic Talia was just an acquaintance before this book, but I think she would agree that this collaboration has sparked a God-appointed friendship. My father-in-law met her at the photo shoot in Cape Town for Wholeheartedly Free and commented, “That girl has presence.” God has marked her future for great things, and to see how malleable she is in the process – only wanting what He has for her – is refreshing.

She runs her own successful production company, which makes her a busy lady, and to be honest I knew God would need to intervene for me to even get hold of her to start with. I sent her a Facebook message and didn’t hear back from her for a few days. After reading the message, she said she had been worshiping one night and felt God prompt her to come and see me. She set aside a whole afternoon for me and I won’t soon forget our time together, saturated with sharing stories and stirring up faith inside each other. In her story, Talia shares of how God has walked with her in preparing her heart for the husband she’ll meet one day.

A NOTE FROM LENKA

Created
A personal declaration: “The Cross before me, the world behind me – I will put you in remembrance and press on.” (Philippians 3:12-17)

Chosen
Talia’s story reminded me so much of my personal commitment to God. I was inspired anew to fix my eyes on Jesus, with thankfulness for the victory of His Cross and the life that I have in Him. The troubles and cares of this world suddenly grows dim… My life might not be exactly what I envisioned or planned a couple of years ago, but I have found that knowing the one true God and seeing Him glorified in my life is a far greater reward than any worldly gain.
